This is my first “real” hammock vs a yoga trapeze. In comparison the material is amazing. So soft with a perfect amount of stretchable the color is so vibrant. This is my meditation and my personal gym wrapped into one. I did have an issue with UPS and their delivery. This aerial dance hammock is designed for aerial dance. It has longer fabric and includes O-rings and a swivel that allows you to hang it from a single point to spin.
The yoga hammock set is designed for aerial yoga practice and is designed to be hung from two points instead of one, which provides more stability for aerial yoga. Additionally, the yoga hammock set includes Daisy Chains to easily adjust the height for ground-based poses.
Here’s a guide to follow when determining the hammock size you need:
- 8-9 foot ceiling height = purchase 5.5 Yard Hammock
- 10-12 foot ceiling height = purchase 7 Yard Hammock
- 12-14 foot ceiling height = purchase 8 Yard Hammock
- 14-15.5 foot ceiling height = purchase 9 Yard Hammock
- 16-17.5 foot ceiling height = purchase 10 Yard Hammock
- 18-20 foot ceiling height = purchase 12 Yard Hammock
All hammocks are 2.4-2.8 Meters or 9.2 feet wide so that you can stretch out in the aerial fabric. Prints and ombres are narrower, and solid colors are slightly wider.
Our standard colors are low stretch, and the ombre/printed hammocks are a low-medium stretch. Feel free to leave us a note at checkout to select the exact shade or color you’d like based on the stretch options.

Since there are many different types of overhead environments, Uplift Active cannot provide instructions on how to rig a hammock in your space. Not all environments are suitable for aerial circus rigging. You must hire a licensed framing contractor, professional rigger, or structural engineer to examine your space and determine the proper hardware for safe installation and use.
