Less Stretch, More Support
The fabric is a low-stretch weave, easy to climb, and holds up to 900kgs. The smallest silks measure 9 yards (28ft) long by 108in wide (8.2M x 2.8M), with larger sizes up to 15 yards (45ft) long by 108in wide. Print and ombre fabrics are slightly narrower, at around 2.5M. Our smallest size allows about 13.5ft of length to fall to each side.
Not sure what length to get? Our team recommends measuring from the ground to your rigging point and multiplying by 2 for your best results.

What is the difference between low and medium-stretch fabric?
Fabric stretch refers to the amount of “give” that your fabric offers you in the air. For beginners, we recommend a low-stretch fabric that provides plenty of support for climbs. Medium stretch fabric is preferable for experienced aerialists performing drops and other advanced skills.
How do I find someone to rig my aerial equipment?
You should always consult a rigging professional to ensure that your silks are installed properly. We recommend contacting your local aerial studios for recommendations on rigging professionals in your area. If you can’t find nearby riggers, our portable aerial rig is a wonderful option that offers easy set-up and durable materials that have been tested by industry professionals to ensure optimum safety.
What length of aerial silks do I need?
Take the height from the ground to your rigging point, multiply by 2, then add 1-2 yards to allow for some extra fabric on the ground.
Examples with 2 yards of extra fabric on the ground:
- 10-foot ceiling height = purchase 9 yards of fabric.
- 12-foot ceiling height = purchase 10 yards of fabric.
- 15-foot ceiling height = purchase 12 yards of fabric.
- 20-foot ceiling height = purchase 15 yards of fabric.
These are just recommendations; you can purchase more or less fabric depending on your preferred length . Need longer fabric? See our extended Sizes available here, or contact us for something custom.
Not sure where to hang your silks? Try our portable A-Frame Rig. We recommend getting the 10-yard length for use with our portable rigs.
