You can tighten them down with the larger center screw(the smaller ones are for factory assembly). See attached photo. One side of the loops may be a tad smaller, please make sure this side is on the top bar. If the screw isn't turning, you can try using a little oil to see if this will help. Hello Chaya, Thanks so much for your feedback! You can use our Aerial Rigs outside but the best practice is to take them down when not in use. Although they are made of stainless steel, they are not intended to be left outside long term and will weather or rust with repeated exposure to moisture. If you need to keep it outside longer, there are metal protectant sprays (like Sta-Bil Rust Stopper) that may prevent weathering, and some customers keep a tarp over it when not in use to protect against morning dew. We recommend avoiding rain and moisture to prevent damage. Every climate is different and more humid/wet climates are more prone to weathering. Parts may rust over time, and we sell replacement parts if needed. The warranty does not cover damage from outside use, and regular inspection of the equipment is especially important if you plan to use it outdoors. Aerial rigs are built to absorb shock loads, and the legs of our rig are designed to be a bit flexible to absorb shock. This means they will move under your weight. This movement is expected, but the feet of the rig should stay stationary. It may take a bit of getting used to if you're new to using an aerial rig like this. The legs should return to the normal position when not in use. This aerial rig design is made with portability in mind; the flexibility of the legs gives it a higher weight capacity despite its small size. it collapses to a small size relative to other aerial rigs on the market and is able to fit in the back of a car. If the movement during use is excessive, it could mean that the legs are not positioned properly. Widening or narrowing the feet can reduce movement during use, and adjusting the stabilizing straps higher can help when the rig is set at the max height. Ensure that you're using a swivel if spinning on the aerial rig, and Sandbags (https://upliftactive.com/collections/aerial-rigs/products/aerial-sandbags-set-of-4) can help a bit as well. If the legs do not return to their normal position when not in use (ie, the legs are permanently bent), this means the rig has been overloaded and should not be used. We've only observed this in our product testing and have never had a report of this happening to a customer, but it's something to be aware of and to inspect before use.
